Outstanding day by our boys and girls cross country teams today in Brainerd at the Section 8AAA meet. The girls are the section champions and the boys finish 2nd! Both teams are headed to state! Sophie Miller was section champ and Max Salas was 2nd for the boys to lead the way!

The STMA Activities Department is excited to welcome Gordy Schlangen as our next Girls Track & Field Head Coach. Gordy has a long history of coaching track & field most recently as an assistant at STMA. Gordy is a math teacher @STMAHighSchool & has prior head coaching experience.

Congratulations to Max Salas on a strong finish to the XC season at MSHSL State CC Championships! Max placed 59th with a time of 16:29 in an extremely competitive field in class AAA. Way to go Max!

We may only have one qualifier in the state meet, but many of our runners are still training for the NXR meet in SD next weekend. The culture is changing here in STMA and we couldn’t be more proud of the boys, their passion, and commitment they are showing towards this sport. 👍🏻

Important information for the Cross Country State Meet: All spectators must park at the MN State Fair Lot "Block 55" at 1680 Como Avenue. There will be a free shuttle that will take you to the State Meet. Please plan to arrive 60 minutes prior to the start of your meet time.

Results from the Section 8AAA Championships this afternoon. The boys competed hard for a 4th place finish. Junior Max Salas will move on to compete in the MSHSL State XC meet next Saturday at the U of M. Great season Knights! We are proud of you!

Some pictures from this weeks Lake Conference Championship meet. The boys competed well with 23 out of 35 participants earning PRs. Junior Max Salas once again earned all conference honors with a 15th place finish. Great work boys!

Tomorrow is our one and only home meet, the STMA Invite. This will be senior, parent, teacher, and cancer night all wrapped into one. Come on out to the rec center and support your boys and girls cross country programs! Races start at 3:15 with the middle schoolers. Go Knights!

Great running by this group today! A 12th place finish out of 38 teams spanning the entire country in the Maroon division. Max Salas led the way with a podium finish placing 5th overall. We look forward to a week of training before the home meet Tuesday, October 3rd. Go Knights!

The boys are ready to run today at the Roy Griak Invitational down at the U of M. The Knights will race in the Maroon race at 3 PM!

Great efforts all around from our squad in Lakeville today! Our JV was 11th out of 16, Varsity was 10th out of 18, and our C race team was 10th out of 12. We had a total of 10 PRs. Way to go Knights! Quick turnaround as we are back in action Monday at Buffalo.
