Uber with driver is around $1.50/mile. Cybercab is about $0.50/mile now and about $0.25/mile at scale. Not hard to see who can build the more efficient proposal for the fleet manager you cite. Don’t forget the Tesla can operate 24/7 and you don’t have an HR nightmares.

Not sure that you can affirmatively state that “that ship has sailed.” The Model Y is the best-selling car in the world for 2026, up approximately 20% YOY. They are revolutionizing automotive manufacturing and driving the cost curve down. As more of their manufacturing becomes robotic, they will continue to improve cost. In addition, no one is currently able to compete with them on self-driving or vehicle features (AI). Lastly, Tesla owner satisfaction is in the top 5. You may be sighting EV only tech (like battery), but that is just a piece of the puzzle.

The 6 to 8 refineries closed under Biden, alongside recent (2-3) California refinery closures, are why gas prices are elevated more than oil prices. Voters need to be very careful embracing the policies (liberal/Obama/Biden/AOC/Bernie) that have led to bottlenecks in Europe. And why current gar prices are very high with oil remaining below $100 a barrel. Refinery capacity is strained.
