Yesterday I told my therapist I couldn't move on.
She handed me a journal and said,
“If someone's no longer in your life but still takes up space in your thoughts, these 10 questions will help you understand why your heart keeps going back to a chapter that has already ended.”
Here they are: 1/2
“you didn't have to react like that.” probably. and you didn't have to create the situation either. somehow my response became the only department under investigation.
One thing about me: I may take a long time to give up on you, but once I do, there is no version of me waiting around for you to become somebody I can love again.
self-sabotage is also
• not asking for help
• rejecting praise
• isolating yourself when hurt
• saying "yes" to everything
• putting your needs on hold
• procrastinating on important tasks
• watching too much news
• trying to be perfect
No matter what happens, l'll be okay.
The world has ended for me many times before, and somehow it always begins again. Some things are unfortunate.
Some are unnecessary. Some are exhausting. But life goes on, and every time it does, I'm reminded that I'm indestructible.
