Develop a church you want to attend.
Many people will come and go, but you and your family will stay.
And... the church you'd like to lead is probably a church many people will like to attend.
Only when our greatest love is God, a love that we cannot lose even in death, can we face all things with peace [and even joy]. (Walking with God through Pain and Suffering, p. 44) Because we know that on the other side of death is more love than ever. https://t.co/NY5Rd7eYAf
@michaelsw His (@todbol) episode on our podcast breaks down adaptive leadership really well - look up “The Calm and Confident Leader” podcast - I think it like episode 17 or 18 in this season (3)
In church circles people talk about deep teaching and yet in order to become a deep person of spiritual substance each person must learn to REFLECT deeply for themselves, to pay attention to the realities within their souls.
WE ALL LEAD.
WHETHER IT’S IN A COMPANY, A TEAM, OUR FAMILY, OR JUST OUR OWN LIVES.
But let’s be honest. We don’t all lead well.
Life is messy. Leadership is hard. This podcast helps.

@lukedsimmons So yes church people will misuse texts to get their way.
However the text you are talking about is Jesus teaching on how God views LOST things (people) not churched people - my approach is let’s mobilize the 99 to reach their lost “one”
@lukedsimmons Luke I agree in part — I had a long time Christian lady once tell me her friends were “stumbling” over our use of contemporary worship and I replied Paul is saying we need to adapt for immature believers are you saying you and your friends are immature believers?
How fascinating to have a voice as a pastor where I get to walk alongside sincere followers of Jesus while also granted a voice with marketplace leaders and executives to be a sounding board
Faith is a journey, it’s a process and the more we try and treat it like a product, the more we will miss the beauty of the presence of Jesus in real time.
Too many leaders I know spend their time dealing with symptoms without ever understanding what is driving their struggles and dysfunctions— get to the root! https://t.co/RXWPAsOASj
