@Noleee04@Daniel_Rapaport Pretty well known that a number of golf content creators have been inundated by bots - including the likes of NLU, Foreplay, Dan, etc. Overnight a few months ago they all got a few million followers overnight.
@NoLayingUp The straight up trade between the Range Goats and Smash - Talor Gooch for Matthew Wolfe. Talor won 3 times and was player of the year. Matt Wolfe was 27th on the year. And they just like, swapped teams for no apparent reason.

@TheShotgunStart BP: “Did Rory have a point about the course lacking strategy off the tee?”
KH: “Some courses have trees. Some don’t. Those agronomy guys are great aren’t they guys?”
@jonathanrwall You’ve been in the industry for quite some time, I’m sure you’d be surprised if you ever heard “this driver sucks” or “ball speed is about the same as last year”. But yes - forgiveness is basically the only area of potential improvement.
@jonathanrwall Totally. And I appreciate that. Swing speed probably played a bit role as he got warmed up. We just hear the same thing every year. If all the claims since 2016 were true guys would be hitting it 250 MPH.
@jonathanrwall Not fudge numbers, but do the additional digging to find out why that happened and report it. Again, the most basic math tells you on perfectly efficient strikes a gain of 3-5 mph is physically impossible or it’s an illegal driver. What were efficiency numbers and why?
@jonathanrwall So they had poor efficiency with the GT line and had a poor fit? Because the GT line is capable of producing 1.5 efficiency just like a Taylormade 2016 M1. It’s irresponsible to report 3-5 mph ball speed gains without context. Because with proper fit we both know that’s BS.
@SoCalOG614@KylePorterNS These either
A. Can’t host the infrastructure and number of people at a tour event
B. Have memberships that don’t want to host a tour stop - they have the shut down the course for a couple months every year to get it in shape to play.
@JRapp314@TheShotgunStart@AndyTFE@BrendanPorath Eh - very very very marginally “better”. With enough money you can get custom stuff just as good. So it is commercially available but the pros have sponsors to get the easy access to the “hottest” drivers and custom grinds, etc.
