Today marks 16 years since the Supreme Court put a price tag on our democracy with the disastrous Citizens United vs. FEC decision.
The ruling fundamentally changed our campaign finance system by opening the floodgates to unlimited and undisclosed money in our elections.
ICYMI: Last week our campaign earned the endorsement of @StopBigMoney. I’ve rejected Corporate money from the start, and I’m fighting to get big money out of politics. #mi11#endcitizensunited#flipthehouse
End Citizens United and Get Big Money out of our politics
Nearly a decade ago. I was one of the first in Congress to stop taking corporate pac money.
At the end of last year, I ended taking all issue area PAC money.
I do not trade individual stocks.
My average contribution is a little over $40
We do not need big money in our politics. It is inherently corrupting.
The ultra-wealthy and massive corporations must be stopped from unjustly influencing our elections.
Please support our legislation to end this national nightmare and bring clean, fair elections back to our democracy.
Trump thinks affordability is a fake word because money has never been a real concern for him. Not once. Ever. These are the words of someone who’s been spoiled rotten.
The wealthy donors who make up the Trump administration wouldn't be there without the Citizens United decision. If we want to fight the oligarchy, we need to overturn Citizens United.
Sherrod Brown is running a Pac-Man themed ad about data centers in #OHSen:
"Ohio's electric grid. Big corporations treat it like a game, gobbling up energy to feed their data centers. ... I'll require the data centers pay the full cost of their electricity, not you."
"And so, from day one, I’ve been a no-corporate PAC, no stock trading in Congress person. I don’t think you’re there to get rich. I think you’re there to serve your constituents, and I think your constituents, the voters in particular, are the ones you’re there to serve, not corporations." - @MattMaasdam #MI07
Ken Paxton is corrupt as they come.
In November, Texans will vote for @jamestalarico because he's committed to making sure working people come first and putting an end to corrupt schemes Ken Paxton continuously benefits from. #TXSen

I'm so honored to earn the support of @StopBigMoney - Washington is more corrupt than ever right now, and it’s hurting our communities. Billionaires and corporations have no place influencing our elections, and politicians should not be using their positions for personal profit.
🚨ENDORSEMENT ALERT🚨 We’re excited to endorse @Ufford4michigan in his race for #MI11. As an #UnrigWashington member, Don is committed to commonsense reforms like banning Congressional stock trading and ending dark money in politics. We look forward to helping him win. #mipol
The entire system is set up for Donald Trump and his billionaire buddies to get rich, while working families get left behind.
It doesn't have to be this way. That’s why I’m not taking a dime of corporate PAC money.
Members of Congress are in Washington to represent their constituents - not line their own pockets. The fact they can trade on the very legislation they control? To use Rob Bresnahan’s own words from before he went to Washington and became one of Congress’ top traders - it’s sickening.
I will fight to pass a ban on members of Congress trading stocks so that our government focuses on serving the people, not itself.

Another quarter of doubling Juan Ciscomani's fundraising ✅
THANK YOU to the more than 100,000 supporters who believe in our campaign's mission and continue to fuel our fight to take back #AZ06 💪🇺🇸
As @Rep_Stansbury said, when Democrats win back the House, they'll fight for a government everyday Americans can be proud of, stop the self-dealing in Washington, and get Big Money out of politics.
Trump’s remarks tonight are nothing more than the grandstanding of a corrupt official with a deeply unpopular agenda. We must do everything we can to fight back, and that means showing up to the ballot box this November to take back our power.
If there’s one thing you can count on Trump for, it’s lie to the American public. His administration, and the Republicans who cover for him, are trying desperately to delegitimize one of the only systems that can keep them in check: our elections.
Mail-in voting has been a safe and secure part of our elections since the Civil War. In 2024, 45 million Americans voted by mail.
Even President Trump has voted by mail. The Trump agenda is unpopular and he wants to make it harder for Americans to vote.
