The worst part: the girl in the video, Jennyfer Hatch, didn’t actually want to die. Nor was she terminally ill.
She couldn’t get appropriate healthcare in Canada, so she opted for death care.
Every human life has dignity, especially in moments of vulnerability.
Compassion means caring for people, supporting recovery, relieving suffering, and ensuring that no one feels abandoned when they are at their most vulnerable.
When people see death as the answer to social conditions such as poverty, homelessness or isolation, we should ask whether we have failed to provide the care and support they need to live with dignity.
As the Pope warns, we must not allow legalized death to become a substitute for compassion.
Canada is making global headlines for euthanizing a 26 year old with Type 1 diabetes, blindness in one eye, and seasonal depression by @BlendrNews

Very soon, the MAID coercion deniers will be utterly disproven with countless stories and incontrovertible evidence.
They won't be all that embarrassed though, because all of these denier accounts are anonymous/using pseudonyms.
This is Donna Duncan.
She became depressed after dealing with health problems following a car accident.
She wasn't terminally ill, but Canada euthanized her anyway. Officials gave her two daughters only 48 hours notice and they were powerless to stop them from killing her.
Canada's National Shame
Canada's so-called "Medical Assistance in Dying" is out of control, with horrific abuses that are often only covered by international media and independent bloggers.
Meanwhile, when foreign Parliaments debate the issue, everyone agrees that they cannot allow what has happened in Canada to occur there.
One day there will be commissions of inquiry, and our grandchildren will ask us how we let this happen.
This is the most INSANE story about MAID I have ever seen.
Power of Attorney was disregarded and grandmother‘s life ENDED by MAID
There is nothing you can do to stop it.
"I've made a mistake" said the 83-year-old grandmother who was MAID'ed in Canada.
Once someone says that, it's not "Medical Assistance in Dying".
It's straight-up murder.
Kiano Vafaeian was 26. Diabetes. Depression. He dr shopped to Ellen Wiebe to BC, bought his own poison at a pharmacy counter, and was killed in a funeral home.
I have his death certificate. It says MAID.
Had he died in Ontario, it would have said diabetes.
Ontario’s College tells doctors the certificate “cannot include any reference to MAID or the medications administered.”
Same death. Different province. Different truth.
Now ask yourself what the national numbers are actually counting…..
Lies and corruption.
And yes, I’ve been given permission to share this.
