This pure black soil paddock that’s now covered in gravel road base will never be fully rehabilitated back.

Santos are building a 2nd compound on the #liverpoolplains near the first they just finished. The first one is too small & access is difficult to navigate so they will work between now 2 locations due to their rush to build prior to the 15 year old Hunter Gas pipeline DA expired.

To get approval they told governments it wouldn't increase gas prices (it did)

Down a narrow rural lane at Quipolly on the #liverpoolplains Santos has built a compound that triggers the start of the 15 year old zombie Hunter Gas pipeline DA. Building of the compound without the actually route being finalised means Santos grandfathers in the old 2009 EA/EIS.

🔺️the integrity failure of gas wells due to microbiological influenced corrosion, which creates immense fluid & gas leakage pathways.

So many scientific unknowns remain, and yet gas companies like Arrow Energy have been granted approval to drill 💯s of gas wells in some of Qld's most sensitive locations.

We are not jumping at shadows when we say that #CSG mining risks adversely affecting the future of the Darling Downs and its precious groundwater forever.
