@StopTB@LucicaDitiu@mayowajoel STPN reaffirms its commitment to working with the National Assembly, govt & partners to make this reform count towards #EndingTB in Nigeria.
Stop TB Partnership Nigeria presented a memorandum at the House Committee on Infectious Diseases public hearing on HB 2523; which proposes expanding NACAβs mandate to cover TB & Malaria as NAC-TAM. STPN backs the bill, with key safeguards. 𧡠#EndTB
@StopTB@LucicaDitiu@mayowajoel One legal note: an HIV Trust Fund already exists under a 2022 law β so HB 2523βs proposed Trust Fund covering all 3 diseases will need further amendment to align.
Happy 66th Independence Day, Nigeria! π³π¬
A free Nigeria is also a healthy Nigeria. We're still working for a nation free from TB, where everyone can get tested and treated.
