@Dat_Jarcroqueta@meeaanyos@devincf 10/10 doesn't mean perfect. Literally nothing deserves a 10 then. To me it typically just means you wouldn't change anything about it. I think people are just spending way too much time comparing each batman movie to each other and shit, they aren't trying to do the same thing.
@TrailerJones Marvel knows how to cut a trailer. Would love to see to break apart this. The way they showed you what they've done, then used that to sell their future movies. The reminder of the feeling of the movie theater. Good marketing. https://t.co/pkxA4yFP2q
This is like, a weirdly good trailer. For all of the recent disaster they've faced Zenimax/Bethesda still managed to make the Xbox joining story seem like a party instead of a concerning merger. Would be really curious to your take on it!

@IanHinck Hearing you talk about how you liked older open world games more on easyupdate. Personally, I think older games were able to put more dialogue/choices/NPCs in due to a lack of voice acting (see Fallout 4 main character) - Modern games are 95% hostile mobs to clear.
@IanHinck The cost of development to actually make you know, what, 3-4 different scenes where you only see one seems to really make studios not make real choices.
@TomHauser Todd Howard has spoken how they missed the mark with having a voiced protagonist. You can blatantly see how they voiced entire areas with npcs but the player has no dialogue.
That being said, I think you are right.
You can see this change with cRPGs like Pillars of Eternity 1 & 2, Baldurs Gate 3, Divinity Original Sin 1+2 - To varying degrees.
I have a lot of money riding on Bethesda's future games cutting out a voiced main character so they aren't bottlenecked by scheduling that actor.
With Fallout 4 and Cyberpunk you can see how they made a ton of environments that would've been amazing places for story, but typically ended up filling the spaces with hostile mobs and enemies to kill. There's just too many bottlenecks in modern gaming for non-fighting.
