The sculpture's imposing busts are constructed out of bronze coated in a glossy black patina. The surface is textured with incised marks, reminiscent of Johnson’s manipulation of softer materials like shea butter, black soap, and wax.

Putting the "gold" in golden hour ☀️ Daylight savings time has ended and Storm King's hours have also rolled back. The Art Center is now open Wed–Mon (closed Tue) from 10AM–4:30PM. Final entry for all visitors is 3PM.

This past week, @EmiratesTeamNZ was crowned the winner of the 37th @americascup. In 1995, the team triumphed against another boat: Young America, sporting a hull designed by artist Roy Lichtenstein. It entered Storm King's collection in 2001 and is on view in the South Ponds.

Alicja Kwade's "LinienLand" acts as a frame through which to view the surrounding sky and landscape, suggesting parallel worlds. 🌌 The sculpture recently joined Storm King's permanent collection and is on view outdoors for the first time.
