His body of work in relief of Freddie Andersen was impressive & swung the balance in the series.

The decision by Rod Brind'Amour to make the switch was pivotal in the Canes winning the Cup. Lesson learned last year!

Incredible season for the Hurricanes topped off with stifling 3-0 win vs Golden Knights in Vegas
*Jordan Staal led the charge (14/22 face-offs) & earned Conn Smythe Trophy as best player in the play-offs
*Brandon Bussi was solid in net & earned the shutout (22/22 saves)
*Stankoven(1A,5HTs)/Hall(1G)/Blake(1G,1A) trio was on point again
*Nikolaj Ehlers, with an empty netter, sealed the deal
*Sean Walker was a beast on the blue (+2,2HTs, 23:50TOI)

*Jordan Staal was a beast scoring 2 goals & went 12/16 in face-off dot
*Nikolaj Ehlers had a 3 point night (1G,2A), including empty-netter that sealed the deal
*Stankoven(1G)/Hall(1A)/Blake(1G,1A) trio gave Vegas fits all night
*Jaccob Slavin (+2), critical in the win, lead Canes with 24:41 TOI

Chicago Wolves fall 7-3 to Colorado Eagles in sloppy affair. Wolves head back to Loveland trailing 3-2 in the series.

*Bradly Nadeau, on a heads up play by Viktor Neuchev, gave the Wolves a short-lived 3-2 lead in the 2nd
*Justin Robidas scored on the PP but was on for 4 goals against
*Tough outing for Cayden Primeau, who surrendered 6 goals on 26 shots & left for a brief period due to injury
*Cal Foote & Charles Alexis Legault battled hard but to no avail (both ended up with 14 minutes in penalties)

*Seth Jarvis with OT winner on the PP (Canes went 2-4 on the PP)
*Jordan Staal (1G) gave Canes a short lived 3-2 lead, was 70% in face-off dot & had 7 hits
*Logan Stankoven scored all important 1st goal (his 10th) to get the Canes back in the game & went 7/11 in face-off dot
*Mark Jankowski with a monstrous tying goal after William Carrier wins key battle to get him the puck
*Shayne Gostisbehere was magic in the O-zone with 2 huge assists
*Sebastian Aho was more of a factor (1A,4S,4H)
*PK went 4/4 (now incredible 93.3% in playoffs)
*Jalen Chatfield (+1) led Canes in ice time (24:25)

Chicago Wolves push back a late 3rd period charge by Colorado Eagles to prevail 2-1 & tie series 2-2
*Cayden Primeau, the story of the play-offs, continues his sparkling play (33/34 saves)
*Bradly Nadeau, highlighted his extensive tool bag by setting up Justin Robidas with a sweet feed for a shortie & then scoring the winner
*Wolves dominated face-off dot, led by Skyler Brind'Amour for 2nd straight game
*Impressive performance by Ivan Ryabkin (1A) in an extended role
*Wolves D-corps were more involved in the offence, led by Dom Fensore & Jusso Valimaki
*Assistant coach, Dan Price, worked his magic with the forward lines with Ryan Suzuki out for an extended period in the 2nd & Felix Unger Sorum not available
