This file is extremely rare and is the only surviving audio recording of Reinhard Heydrich ! Its his Speech at Prague Castle, 17 December 1941.

Reinhard Heydrich was the head of the Nazi security police and the deputy ruler of occupied Bohemia and Moravia. In this speech to the Southeast Europe Society, he:

• Declares Bohemia and Moravia permanently part of the German Reich, with German as the primary language of business and government

• Blames Jews for the old economic order and celebrates their removal from the Czech economy

• Demands that Czech industry fully mobilize for Germany's war effort and help open up the conquered territories in the East

Five weeks later, in January 1942, Heydrich chaired the Wannsee Conference, which coordinated the systematic murder of Europe's Jews.
