I read an opinion piece a while back that said whatever the outcome of the war, it will probably be the end of Israel's current government at the very least. This seems like a visceral vindication of that idea—they're going to hell and taking the rest of the world with them

Obviously the main issue about the pagers/walkie talkies story is the horrible human rights crimes. But even putting that aside, I imagine for Israel's (economically important!) tech industry, being associated with personal devices that are secretly also bombs seems a problem
