@FrankCMYK@atrupar Confusing increasingly large sums of money with intelligence happens 95% of the time. Elmo, Lutnick and Bezos are there on the milk carton. “Have you seen me? I confused money with intelligence.”
@BitcoinSapiens If no one is working, there is no one to buy anything you make. I mean if the robots are free and can till the soil and harvest the grain, we can be farmers. Not what most of us planned.
@AnnieAgar My son is in a wheelchair and Disney is the best place in the world for us. Disney used to be nicer for wheelchairs before the rich people hired ringers to pose as wheelchair disabled family members and wrecked it for the rest of us.
@atrupar@MalcolmNance Oh he just can’t stand that a penny could be there at the bottom when it should be in his pocket. He’s not cleaning it for our benefit!
@ForeverScept Been that day since the Roadster. There is a reason for it. All computers used to use those batteries. Then computers moved to flat format so all the round battery production had nothing to do. Tesla bought all the capacity at Pennies on the dollar.
@BladeoftheS@asmartbrunette1 Electrical engineer here. You could pack explosives mixed with enriched uranium but it won’t create a nuclear explosion. It will just spread radioactive crap with maybe a 50 meter radius. Won’t kill more than a couple people but will be tough to cleanup.
@AJamesMcCarthy I’ve been flying for 50 years. Have over a million miles in the air and in the last 30 years we’ve had late stage capitalism just destroy being a passenger. It’s no wonder anyone who can, flys private. Private is like old fashioned first class.
@PeterMallouk It also shows that the official unemployment rate is no longer a measure of what we are trying to get at, which is, functional unemployment.
@mattdykema I started working in a machine shop when I was 14. (Not legal today but it was then). Loved it. But by the time I was 19, I could tell it wasn’t going to pay enough so I went to college and ended up on Wall Street. Still miss actually making something.
@SonjaJo82306956 Those have been retrofitted with a regular metal tread. Back then the tread would have been wooden as well. I see others have posted original wood on here. I remember a wooden treaded escalator at one of the stops on the Orange Line in Boston. Very scary. 😱
