Duke's last four losses:
Led by 14 against Houston in the Final Four, lost
Led by 17 against Texas Tech, lost
Led by 13 against UNC, lost
Led by 19 against UConn in the Elite 8, lost
They only lost 4 games in a year, but all of them were from blown leads. Worst way to go out.
Agreed. Wilson is far more important to UNC than the two players Duke lost. But let’s not forget Duke did lose their “Boozer/Wilson” last year when Flagg went down and John still got them through as champions. There is a difference in the coaches. Don’t get me wrong, as a Duke fan I want Hubert to stay, but it’s odd to see UNC accept mediocrity for this long. Seemingly based just on the fact that Caleb love hit a shot in the final four that was always a toss up of a game.
Jack Hughes, who lost a tooth on the ice today, after scoring the gold medal goal in OT, “I love the USA… we’re so proud to be Americans today.” Perfection. If you have the good fortune to rep the greatest country in world history do it like this:
It's insane that this is basically the best hockey photo possible. Shattered teeth, flag draped over his shoulders, the guy that scored the golden goal
This belongs in the hall of fame. I'm dead serious
For all Canadians saying they were the better team….
On George Washington’s birthday, let me remind you…the British were the better team.
And yet the Americans still won their independence.
Spot on. The one thing I might push back on is that it seems Evans has been off as of late, not just last game. Especially with shooting. Maybe the stats don’t agree with me on that (I haven’t checked) but it feels that way. And when his outside shot isn’t falling it’s easier to stay in front of his drives.
