BREAKING: U.S. to start a massive new bombing campaign against Iran after the November midterm elections, with Donald Trump saying intensified airstrikes are “possible” and declaring: “We will have peace in the world by destroying Iran,” per TIME.

Trump rejected Iran’s latest seven day ceasefire proposal, saying it was “not good enough” and that “what I rejected a year ago, I won’t agree to today.” Tehran’s proposal would have reopened the Strait of Hormuz and resumed nuclear talks in exchange for lifting the US blockade and sanctions.

Trump also said, “I don’t think you can ever have peace with Iran,” while acknowledging a “slight shortage” in some US ammunition stockpiles.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has meanwhile warned that Iran is “fully prepared” for the war to resume, saying Tehran will stand firm “even if it comes to a doomsday war.”

The US is now openly discussing another major bombing campaign after the midterms, while Iran says it is preparing for the possibility of a much wider war.

Major General Esmail Qaani, Commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), said during a ceremony marking the second anniversary of the martyrdom of Lebanese Resistance Front leaders:

“You know the Yemenis well, and we know them well too. It is in your own interest to end the blockade and stop continuing the war against your Muslim brothers in Yemen. This is our advice to you.

What answer will you give before God tomorrow? You spent $10 billion, while many Muslim children need even the most basic necessities. Why don’t you help them? Why spend this money against your Muslim brothers instead of using part of it to help Muslims?

Ending this war is in the interest of both your worldly life and your hereafter. End this war, and let us bring together the energy of Muslims and the Islamic world in support of one another.”

BREAKING: Trump accuses Iran of being behind the flydubai incident where a co-pilot stabbed the captain on a flydubai flight to Tel Aviv on Wednesday, and when asked whether the US would retaliate because of it, he said minutes ago "oh, they'll be hit very hard, don't worry."

Asked if the co-pilot was put there by the IRGC, Trump said "it could have been."
