If you’ve seen this video on the @sssdefence Viper MK2, there’s mention of a new feature in there- an Arca Rail. It’s a mounting system that owes its origin to the camera world. The Precision Rifle Series (PRS) shooting circuit took a loving to it & it’s now very common to see top long distance shooters adapt their rifles for the Arca. In India, since RFP parameters cause builds, the 1913 pic rail still rules. But we decided to future proof our weapons & build for the best in class. The Arca takes convenience to a new level - adding & removing accessories is a frictionless process. Slide in the attachment to its place, tighten a screw & clamp it in. Remove as easily in reverse. Bipod or tripod, it fits easily.
Classic example of why it makes sense to be in control of your system. No waiting for a foreign OEM to adapt. In the precision world success or failure is determined by millimetres. The artist still pulls the trigger but the system counts. Here is where small things add incredible value
