We are proud to celebrate the successful completion of the Sense of Africa Leadership Accelerator Programme, Module 1 delivered through the strategic partnership between Strathmore University School of Tourism and Hospitality and Sense of Africa.
Bringing together leaders from across East Africa, the programme was founded on a collaborative model that prioritized partnership, co-creation, and tailored learning experiences. Through a carefully customized approach, participants engaged in practical, action-oriented learning designed to address real workplace challenges and drive meaningful organizational outcomes.
A key highlight of the programme was the development of both individual and business action plans, enabling participants to translate insights into tangible leadership practices and measurable business impact. The level of engagement, openness, and commitment demonstrated by the cohort throughout the journey was truly inspiring.
This experience reinforces the importance of leadership development programmes that are relevant, experiential, and closely aligned with the realities of today's dynamic business environment.
As we conclude this phase, we are excited about the next chapter. Through the upcoming coaching engagements and the rollout of Module II, we look forward to deepening the learning journey and continuing to support leaders in driving transformation, innovation, and organizational excellence across the region.
Together, we are building stronger leaders, stronger organizations, and a stronger future for the tourism and hospitality industry in East Africa.

Service to Society in action.
Recently, @StrathU students took part in Community Outreach Camps across Samburu, Kitui, and Mwingi, engaging hundreds of young learners through mentorship, guidance, and personalized support.
From one-on-one conversations to shared experiences and encouragement, our students created spaces where learners felt seen, heard, and inspired to pursue their goals.
These moments remind us that meaningful change begins with showing up, listening, and investing in the potential of others. Through Service to Society, we continue to live out our commitment to creating a positive impact beyond the classroom.

Last week I joined scholars, business leaders, policymakers and practitioners at the Academy of International Business Africa Conference hosted by @SBSKenya Strathmore Business School.
What stood out clearly is that in a world increasingly defined by uncertainty and complexity, Africaโs experience is becoming not just relevant, but a source of insight for global businesses.
Complexity is now an accelerator driving faster innovation, new business models and globally relevant solutions rooted in local realities.
From the continued evolution of M-PESA as a platform for financial inclusion and innovation, to the critical role of public-private partnerships, supportive policy environments and human-centred technology, the opportunities before us are immense. Realising them will require bold thinking, collaboration and a shared commitment to inclusive growth.
I was encouraged by the depth of discussion and the exchange of ideas on how Africa can continue to lead through innovation, resilience and entrepreneurship.
My sincere thanks to Dr. @VinceOgutu, Vice Chancellor of @StrathU, Professor Ben Ngoye, Conference Co-Chair, and the entire Strathmore Business School team for convening such an important forum and for their warm hospitality.
The future of Africa will not be defined by what happens to us, but by what we choose to build together.

In 2016, we began the journey of the Foundation. Since then, the impact has been evident through scholarships awarded to students in need and the opportunities created that shape their #SUreFuture and enable them to #GoPlacesWithSU.
This is reflected in the #SUnique graduations of students who have benefited from the scholarship programme.
Today is not just a reflection of history, but a celebration of all that has been achieved.
Our eyes remain fixed on what more the Foundation can accomplish. But as we look ahead, we pause to honour this important milestone.
Education creates the power to positively inspire communities and transform lives.
#BeStrathMore
The task before us is both ambitious and necessary: one that calls for us to build a strong and lasting foundation.
As we reflect, Justice Lenaola posed three questions to challenge us on the road ahead:
๐กHow do we deepen and extend our reach? How do we cultivate a culture of giving across all spaces?
๐คHow do we strengthen relationships and partnerships, extending our impact beyond local boundaries to the international stage?
This includes engaging the private sector to ensure access to internships, mentorships, and career development opportunities, as well as collaborating with international foundations.
๐ขHow do we extend the reach of @SUFoundation_ work by effectively communicating impact? We must tell the stories of transformation, measure our outcomes, and consistently share evidence of the lives we are changing.
~ Hon. Mr. Justice Isaac Lenaola, Judge of the Supreme Court of Kenya

Todayโs beneficiaries are tomorrowโs funders.
They are stewards of resources, entrusted with the responsibility to give back, uplift others, and sustain the cycle of impact.

Congratulations on 10 years of impact @SUFoundation_
