Nesting pair of African Crowned Eagles surveying the neighborhood for breakfast 🤩

The female appears closest the the camera (usually larger than the male) and has puffed up breast feathers... probably a reaction to the cold winds from the mountains to the West.

There has been quite a bit of disorganised deforestation in the area, so I can only hope that the eagles are not chased away.

Looks like the breeding pair are restoring the nest! There has been a bit of rain the last few days - nothing too serious, but is this maybe their cycle start for the next season? Will keep an eye 🤩
