The @StreamSTEPEu Project project was represented at the XVIII Spanish National #Materials Congress (CNMAT 2026), held from 16–19 June in Portugalete, Bilbao, Spain.

During the event, Magda Lorente (@ITC_ceramica ) presented the poster entitled “Comparación multimétodo de alúmina: FDM versus conformado convencional y CIM (Ceramic Injection Moulding)”, developed by ITC-AICE and @aimenct.

The work highlighted ongoing research and key findings from the #StreamSTEP project, providing valuable visibility to the project's advancements in advanced #ceramic #manufacturing #technologies.

#CNMAT 2026 brought together researchers, technologists, and industry experts from across Spain and beyond to exchange knowledge and discuss the latest developments in Materials Science and Engineering.

The @StreamSTEPEu project was recently presented at the 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗠𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗮𝗹𝘀 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 in Oslo, where Christa M. Nimbona (Elkem ASA) and Dr. Kai Zhang (@SINTEF) presented their work entitled “𝘏𝘪𝘨𝘩-𝘗𝘦𝘳𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘮𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘏𝘺𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘦𝘶𝘵𝘦𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘤 𝘈𝘭-𝘚𝘪 𝘈𝘭𝘭𝘰𝘺𝘴 𝘋𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘭𝘰𝘱𝘦𝘥 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘔𝘦𝘵𝘢𝘭 𝘈𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘔𝘢𝘯𝘶𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨”, with a focus on the use case “3D-printed ejector based on aluminum silicide powder for heat pump applications.”

During their presentation, they highlighted the successful #collaboration between their organisations, which enabled the development of aluminium silicide powder specifically engineered for #AdditiveManufacturing using SINTEF’s Laser Powder Bed Fusion system.

🚀 𝗔 𝗸𝗲𝘆 𝗺𝗶𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗳𝗼𝗿 @StreamSTEPEu Project!
On 26–27 May 2026, the #StreamSTEP consortium gathered in Kaunas, Lithuania, for the project's 𝟭𝟴-𝗠𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗵 𝗚𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 and 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗶𝗲𝘄 𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴, kindly hosted by Vytautas Magnus University (VMU).

Over two productive days, partners came together to:
🔹 Present the progress achieved during the first 18 months of the project
🔹 Discuss key technical developments and project results
🔹 Exchange knowledge and align on future activities
🔹 Successfully complete the project's first Review Meeting

Participants also had the opportunity to visit VMU's research laboratories, gaining valuable insights into ongoing research and technological advancements, while a guided tour of Kaunas provided an excellent setting for networking and strengthening collaboration across the consortium.

Excited to kick off the first day of our 2-day StreamSTEP EU Project gathering!

Today, the consortium came together for the 18-Month General Assembly Meeting, where partners presented the significant progress achieved so far and discussed the project’s next steps.

The day will also include a lab tour at 𝗩𝘆𝘁𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗮𝘀 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗻𝘂𝘀 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗩𝗠𝗨), where partners will have the opportunity to explore the university’s research facilities and exchange insights on ongoing research and technologies.

We are now gearing up for the project’s first Review Meeting tomorrow!✨

[StreamSTEP EU Project @StreamSTEPEu]

The StreamSTEP EU Project consortium carried out a successful 𝘁𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗶𝘁 at #ELBI in Italy, advancing #DemoCase4 and bringing the project one step closer to implementation.

Partners from @Bruneluni, @SINTEF , #ALEA and #GruppoFOS joined ELBI’s team to review the system design, validate installation plans, and align on next steps.

The visit focused on integrating the #StreamSTEP waste heat recovery #solution — featuring an Advanced Heat Pipe Scrubber (AHPS)—into the existing industrial process, improving 𝗲𝗻𝗲𝗿𝗴𝘆 𝗲𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 and reducing 𝗲𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗰𝘁.

Strong collaboration and hands-on discussions highlighted the project’s steady progress toward deployment.
