@TheQNI @BBCSounds @VanessaOnAir and perhaps even the public heakth nursing workforce too working to prevent and protect children and young peoples health. For every £1 invested we save £16. Just imagine the possibilities.... @MattHancock @WeSchoolNurses @WeHealthVisitor @iHealthVisiting @ADPHUK @LGAWellbeing

As well as investing in hospitals, there should be more money for #CommunityHealth services to reduce hospital admissions.

It was Alan Johnson, as SoS for Health, who commissioned me to review health inequalities in England. Much more might have happened with our 2010 report... As he so eloquently points out. @BBCRadio4 @drjustinzaman

So true Maggie and Sharon! #keep the faith! 😊

[Maggie Clarke @maggieclarkeC4H]

I agree Julie however looking at these tweets over the last few days its fantastic to see the passion and professionalism of the amazing school nurses out there #keepthefaith #SAPHNA @SAPHNAsharonOBE

[Penny Hosie @journo_pen]

Health inequalities cause huge damage to individuals & families across society. #earlyintervention is key, so I urge the Government to invest more in health visitors & school nurses. Evidence shows these healthcare professionals make a difference & it makes sense fiscally, too

@J_Critcher @SAPHNAsharonOBE @maggieclarkeC4H I feel sad too.. we worked hard for our public health qualification not having is like driving without passing a test.. its adds to our knowledge base.. puts the “meat on the bones”

[Julie RN 💙💜💛🎗 @J_Critcher]

Just been looking on NHS jobs and feel saddened to see school nurse roles advertised without requirement to have the SCPHN qualification,I know this is a longstanding issue but would not happen for our health visiting colleagues @SAPHNAsharonOBE @maggieclarkeC4H
