This is the issue with this fanbase. One win and suddenly everything is good. 5 wins in year 4 is in fact not good. He regularly makes stupid decisions that cost us. Fanbase has the memory of a goldfish, and the athletic department knows it.

WVU football is a G5 program lucky to be in a P5 conference.

We make the least revenue of any P5 school, and there are even G5 schools that make more than us. We have no real recruiting advantage.

In a couple years, G5 will likely have its own form of a national championship. We might as well drop down and try to compete for that so we actually have a chance to win a meaningful trophy. Then also our fans can get their wish of competing with Marshall every season.
