@tedwilliams222@_Kyle_Quinn Lincecum was insanely overworked and didn't stretch or ice his arm...but also had no significant arm injuries.
I think with Miz, his extension is REALLY elite and if he does have injuries they will be back/leg related ones.
@BrewPack8 Not saying a whole lot...I don't think prime Barry Bonds gets a hit against Miz tonight lol
But yeah, he's been bad all year.
Defensively too :(
@MinSub4 Upper 90's with elite spin rate and extension is now a very average MLB fastball.
It's like watching 2012 Tim Lincecum. You remember what he was while also coming to the slow realization that it's very unlikely he'll ever be that again.
@JulioIsKing44 After watching his debut I was like "this kid is gonna be an ace at some point!"
Located everything, velocity was upper 90's...Right now, he can't locate, looks kinda rough.
I'm sure he'll be fine but he's really struggled in his first go around.
@Brayden2028_@bucksnayshun@BaseballWRLD_ I'd argue he's in the midst of his first real prolonged slump as a big leaguer.
Over his last 5 starts he hasn't been able to get past the 6th inning and just hasn't been himself.
No doubt he'll have a dominant stretch and be fine but he's working through some issues rn.
@Brayden2028_@bucksnayshun@BaseballWRLD_ Going into the year yes absolutely but right now?
It's not all that close.
Skenes has had trouble with prolonged AB's this season which has resulted in high pitch counts/shorted starts.
I'm sure he'll figure it out but rn he's working through it a bit.
@bucksnayshun@Brayden2028_@BaseballWRLD_ Sanchez gets super deep into games and he gets whiffs but he relies on quick outs/ground balls with his sinker and changeup.
There are times when he hunts for weak contact and does it as well as anyone but NOBODY touches Miz...like a ball in play in a dub.
XBH? Forget it.
@bucksnayshun@Brayden2028_@BaseballWRLD_ I can't think of a pitcher's fastball where like...I dunno, everyone in the entire stadium knows it's coming and the hitter is a year late anyway.
Again, this was the best start I've ever seen start to finish and that includes no hitters/perfect games.
@Whiskey_Rob@MLB@Brewers Prior relied on a vicious curveball and sustained a shoulder injury in a collision that likely contributed to having recurring issues for the rest of his career
Miz is a 4 seam fastball guy with elite extension.
His injures will be leg/back related if he ends up having them imo
