Meet Marissa and Dawn, two incredible women whose strength and resilience inspire us all.
At just 27, Marissa faced breast cancer with courage, undergoing chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation with the support of her Cleveland Clinic care team.
Dawn’s journey began in 2024 and continues today as she bravely battles stage IV triple-negative breast cancer. Through multiple rounds of treatment, surgeries, and radiation, she remains determined to keep fighting.
Both Marissa and Dawn joined the Cavs on court for warmups tonight at our Breast Cancer Awareness game.💪💗
Max Strus was accompanied at the Wine & Gold Gala by Evan Lallo, a Cleveland Clinic Children’s patient and true inspiration.
Evan was diagnosed with Ewing sarcoma in November 2024 and after seven months of treatment, he proudly rang the Bravery Bell. Evan is a Cleveland Cavaliers fan and often found the team to be an inspiration for him during his treatment.
His message to the world, “just keep going,” embodies strength, resilience, and hope. Evan’s determination continues to inspire the Cavaliers Community Foundation.
