Carers deserve better - the Government's fair pay agreements are an important step.

Care is utterly reliant on migrant workers - and there's still over 130,000 vacancies.

We are working with the Government to deliver the pay rise care workers deserve.

Our members who clean and cater St Georges Hospital in Tooting are sick and tired of not getting paid properly and not being respected by their employer, Mitie.

So this lunchtime they staged a demonstration outside the hospital entrance.

Hundreds of TAs protested Merton Council's meeting last night.

They're paid an average of £1400 less London Weighting allowance than their teacher colleagues.

A petition of more than 600 signatures was submitted before the meeting - now it's over to them to do the right thing.

On this day 170 years ago Eleanor Marx, a co-founder of our union, was born.

Eleanor was at the forefront of the fight for the 8 hour working day. She fought for justice & equality.
