The city of Portland’s taxpayer subsidized housing agency, Home Forward, is sliding rapidly toward a financial cliff.
https://t.co/Y1Yw1RfoGS
Mayor Keith Wilson warns the agency faces financial insolvency…what most of us call “can’t pay your bills”.
200-million of Home Forward’s 300-million dollar budget comes from the federal government.
Home Forward operates 7-thousand so called affordable apartments.
More than one thousand of them sit vacant for no good reason.
So despite its rich Uncle Sam money, Home Forward is looking at a 35 million dollar budget shortfall.
It doesn’t help that its former CEO, Ivory Matthews, took home a fat 300-thousand plus salary and did a hundred thousand in junkets around America while the agency she allegedly managed fell apart.
Matthews bailed out with a fat 170-thousand dollar golden parachute cause that’s how things work in liberal progressive Portland.
In the meantime, tenants still renting from Home Forward have to contend with prostitutes and drug dealers…and a landlord looking at bankruptcy by year’s end.
BREAKING: Man steals 20+ voter signatures for income tax repeal, assaults signature gatherer outside Puyallup Safeway. Sheriff's deputies are on scene. Are you happy yet, @AGOWA? @GovBobFerguson? @washdems? Still calling yourselves defenders of democracy?
Excellent summation of last week's ridiculous consideration of parole for a man convicted of the rape and murder of a 5 year old girl.

Pamela made an important point about using initials for the victim.
It's worse that.
Consider most murders and kidnappings.
The violent criminal thinks of the victim as "it".
Police tell families to personalize the victim. She has a name...she is a person.
Imagine the inhumanity of a parole board who wants to sum up a 5 year old child of God as just two initials.
Then consider the Democrat politicians who choose those parole board members...and the voters who chose those evil pols.
Clearly, all the major problems of the City of Riots have been solved (otherwise, why would they spend any time on stuff like this)?

COVER UP FOR TRANS-MOTIVATED CRIMINAL
Darren Rigby has been sentenced in the UK to 28 months in prison after threatening to kiII all the students at multiple all-girls schools because of the "oppression" of "trans women"
Neither the press release by the Merseyside Police or media outlets like the BCC mention the transgender-related motivations.

The FBI just released a new "MOST WANTED FRAUDSTERS" list containing 8 individuals responsible for more than $1.29 BILLION in fraud.
We need to have ZERO TOLERANCE for fraud!
Anyone with information on these criminals can contact the FBI here: https://t.co/Bubd3uFufy
FBI Director Kash Patel unveils a new FBI Most Wanted Fraudsters list:
"I want all Americans to take a look at these Most Wanted individuals, and look at the amounts—the tens of millions and billions of dollars in fraud... Let us know any information."

FBI Director Kash Patel: "The fraudsters have created programs overseas that have fleeced Americans of billions of dollars… this administration has made it abundantly clear there is no distance we won't travel to make sure we apprehend each and every one of these individuals.”

Don’t Mamdani Our Texas.
Greg Abbott helped deliver the largest property tax cut in Texas history — $51 BILLION — and now he’s pushing even more relief for homeowners, seniors, disabled Texans, and small businesses.
Meanwhile, Texas Democrats voted against key property tax reform again and again.
Texas is winning because we kept the radical left agenda out.
Keep Texas affordable.
Keep Texas growing.
Keep Texas Texas.
If you think it's bad that California won’t know its primary election results for weeks, Washington State is even worse.
https://t.co/TXJoPbFHoT
The Golden State honors citizen ballots that come in a week after election day.
The Evergreen state counts votes that arrive 3 weeks late.
Sometime this month, maybe in the next few days, the U.S. Supreme Court hands down a decision that could end tardy voting.
Based on the skeptical questions Justices asked back in March when they heard the oral arguments, the Supreme Court seems likely to strike down the grace period allowed by 14 of America’s states.
75 percent of the states ONLY count votes that arrive on time. I hope the Supremes knock Washington state back to that standard.
The Justices recognize that the longer we wait after an election to get the result, the more citizens rightly question if the results are even legit.
Remember when Dino Rossi ran for Governor in Washington…and he won the first two ballot counts…but on the third count, miraculously, Democrat Party candidate Christine Gregoire won by 130 out of 2-point-9 million votes.
That election still stinks…but imagine the stench if you told voters that ballots arriving weeks AFTER the election made all the difference.
Hey Tina Kotek, how about running for re-election based on your sky-high auto registration and driver licensing costs?
https://t.co/zeGeOPRQIf
I know you love to blame things on Donald Trump, like gas prices. Of course, your double standard shows through when we point out that Oregon has some of the highest gas taxes in America.
It has a low-carbon fuel standard that also jacks up the price.
But DMV fees…they are literally some of the highest in America.
There’s the base fee for a car going up to 300 bucks every two years…and then in the biggest counties, add another 100-plus in local fees.
And yet, you can’t seem to keep the DMV offices open, even though citizens are paying the bill.
Almost every week, I get an email announcing that understaffing leaves some DMV offices simply closing for the day.
You think a private business could get away with charging top dollar and then denying service to customers? I don’t think so.
And now you’ve weaponized the DMV by declaring that you’re not issuing undercover plates for ANY federal agencies…because you’re mad about ICE enforcing the law?
Hey Tina, isn’t the state you’re Governor in still part of the United States?
Anyone with more than a room-temperature IQ understands that the so-called leadership at Oregon’s failing ODOT deserves termination from the job.
https://t.co/QNt6VKrr58
Instead, Kotek plans to install ANOTHER failed leader to head the agency infamous for failed projects like the interstate bridge, or “triple the original price” debacles like the Abernathy bridge…and failing roads all over the state.
So, who takes over at ODOT after the Kotek re-shuffle?
The Governor’s chief of staff, Chris Warner, spent almost 5 years at the Portland Bureau of Transportation.
It might sound like good background until you consider Portland’s road mess.
Warner oversaw an agency that let its backlog of bad roads snowball.
6 billion dollars in deferred maintenance…that grows at two-thirds of a billion dollars a year. 64 percent of city streets are rated in poor or very poor condition.
So, Governor Kotek tells us that a guy who has bounced around from one government job to another for decades will fix ODOT?
An agency that gets more than 6 billion in budget dollars every two years. ODOT hasn't built a new freeway in decades. Every project goes gigantically over budget and never finishes on time.
If you like the smell of all that, vote for Tina Kotek’s re-election.
Otherwise, choose Christine drazan for a change.
