A lot of us celebrate & wish each other on Christmas too. But you dont see anyone claiming Christmas to be a Winter Carnival, right? But that is what is happening to Onam & that is not right (am sure you agree). Celebrate, as everyone must. Nothing better than a festival being celebrated by all communities together but dont appropriate by calling it a harvest festival that is all.
