International Students Join USTC's Annual “Youth Run” 🏃‍♂️🌍

On April 25, 2026, international students joined one of USTC’s most anticipated annual events—the May 4th Youth Run—held across both West Campus and High-Tech Campus!

Running alongside nearly 4,500 faculty, staff, and fellow students, they experienced not only the excitement of the race but also the spirit behind this special tradition. The event commemorates the anniversary of the May Fourth Movement while celebrating the values of youth, energy, and responsibility.

From the starting line to the final stretch, the campuses were alive with cheers, determination, and shared enthusiasm. For many international students, it was more than just a run—it was a chance to connect with the community, embrace a meaningful cultural moment, and challenge themselves in a fun and supportive atmosphere.

On April 19, the Belt and Road Countries' Diplomatic Envoys Cycling Series (Hefei) & Tour of Chaohu Cycling Open kicked off in spectacular fashion in Hefei. International students from USTC joined the race with energy and determination, bringing passion and competitive spirit to the course. 🚴‍♂️

All USTC riders successfully completed their group-stage races, with standout performances from LUI ZUCCHERELLI DE PAULA, JAVED AKHTER MONDAL, and ELDAR RAVANOV, who claimed the top three positions in their group. 🏆

More than just a race, the event served as a vibrant platform for cultural exchange. Along the scenic shores of Chaohu Lake, USTC’s international students embodied youthful passion and resilience, contributing to the spirit of friendship and strengthening connection across Belt and Road countries.
