In January 2018, the City of Fredericton announced, "Heading into 2018, the City of Fredericton will be exploring if there is a way to deliver a recycling program to multi-unit apartment buildings in Fredericton. Info. to follow later." Where is the info? @mikeobrien_fton
Recycling depots aren't accessible at all to people with physical disabilities who may not be able to carry/walk with recycling bins. We need curbside pickup for multi-unit residential buildings in Fredericton.

"The video, taken off of Playa Montesinos in the Dominican Republic’s capital, was filmed by members of Parley, an organisation campaigning in defence of the world’s oceans."
We must make changes now.

Canadians produce the most waste per capita of any country in the world. We are responsible, at least in part, for environmental degradation and climate change. Recycling is literally the least we can do.

Recycling trucks are already out, stopping at all residential homes; it wouldn't involve a much more significant investment to make additional stops for multi-unit residential buildings, picking up far more recycling per stop.

Recycling depots assume people have cars to transport their recycling. When's the last time you saw someone with an overflowing recycling bin on the bus or walking 30-45 mins?

Yes, there are three recycling depots in Fredericton, but 10,000 residents driving to a recycling depot weekly negates the purpose of recycling, because of the C02 emissions produced. #wastewoes#Fredericton @mikeobrien_fton
We need politicians from all political parties working to support environmental rights at the federal level.

If recycling isn't accessible, most people won't do it. Where recycling is accessible, over 90% of Canadians do so regularly. (Statistics Canada<https://t.co/SrSyxpcihF>, 1994-2006)

New Brunswick has the 3rd lowest recycling rate per capita of any province. In Fredericton alone, over 522tons of waste that could be recycled goes to landfills every year (Statistics Canada, 2014<https://t.co/hNfSSOlNoG > & 2016<https://t.co/DIgHaitEpm …>)
