@Smokez4Dayz@IGN You’re an idiot lol. https://t.co/AJxwbvSMIE and others are great resources to help you know what’s on your physical media. Here’s a current favorite for switch games https://t.co/jIM3P8rich
@rafita95399@IGN Very true. Steam machine has the same issue. All digital, expensive, and STILL has a loyal fanbase. And look at how that’s doing compared to everything else.
When the PS3 launched, every casual gamer jumped ship to the Xbox360. Fans were the ones supporting Sony through its whole life.
When the PS6 launches, all those fans will have moved on. Good will is at an all time low. All they’ll have left is the casual fans. You think the average gamer is going to pay 800$ for more Fortnite and Marvel Rivals?
Nintendo faced the same issue during the Wii era. They alienated their core fans, and when the WiiU released, all the casuals left for other consoles.
This will end poorly for Sony. 100%. We forget but Sony just announced they’re continuing to push for more live service games. They didn’t learn from Concord. They didn’t learn from the disc backlash. It’s gonna be too late before they realize all they’ve got left are weathered users who’ll leave the instant something better/cheaper comes along.

The people who will stick with @PlayStation after this decision are the same people who jumped to Xbox360 when PS3 was too expensive. You’re cannibalizing your real fans for people who only play Fortnite and Marvel Rivals.
More reports why Sony is trying to end physical discs:
- They want to cut out the middle man, to make more profit per sale (like remove walmart cuts etc)
- Sony thinks the fanbase will not switch platforms, they can do what they please without losing fans
- They are convinced by ignoring this issue, they fans will just accept the changes and convert to 100% digital with time.
- Sony thinks they are "too big to have commination with fans". Talking to fans has no margin benefit, so they refuse to address fans and will keep doing so
I have lost all trust and goodwill with PlayStation, no words what is happening right now. Horrible company
@CentroLeaks Imagine if they saw the reactions to all the leaked designs and said “well, if the fans like them we’ll make them official” would be a banger Pokédex
@gamerxguy1993@DOOM@PlayStation E-waste is worse than digital. Once the stores go down/license is revoked, fake physical discs will do nothing just like digital purchases
