A little late posting this to Twitter, but a huge thank you to @penn_review for giving this poem a home. I have been shopping it around since its first encouraging decline from @TBQuarterly and stoked it finally landed with The Penn Review.

@heymrsbond Been screaming this from the rooftops for my Creative Writing classes. The depth of feedback that's possible with that number of students in a typical work week is pivotal. So much gets lost when teacher labor is given 30+, and I'm not talking about teacher energy level.
@heymrsbond The Sky Was Once a Dark Blanket by Kinsale Drake comes out this year. Pre-order feels like a must. It is the title I'm most excited to share with students this year. https://t.co/PcMZY8xpmV
