The Nakba, which means ‘Catastrophe’ began in 1948, when more than 700,000 Palestinians were forcibly displaced from their homes by Zionist militias and terror groups in order to create the state of Israel. Entire villages were destroyed, families were separated, and generations of Palestinians were turned into refugees.

The Nakba is not just a historical event. It is an ongoing reality of displacement, occupation, and denial of basic human rights. To this day, Palestinians are still not allowed to return or move freely in their land.
