The rates at which contemporary fashion brands are growing is alarming. However they are mostly faced with two problems.
1. Production 2. Selling and distribution. Stylcon fixes that. We already created a marketplace that tackles production “Stylcon marketplace”.
Nigeria still has the one of the cheapest labor in the world, also when is comes to creativity and technicality we also make top 10. So what exactly is the issue???
Another issue Is greed, y’all should damn collaborate!!!!! Y’all want to have a brand which is not a problem but collaborate more. Share resources!!!! You would burn out doing it alone and give up after first few months…..
One of the issues with those creators of contemporary fashion in Africa is they are really lazy when it comes to their marketing and branding. No offer, no value building ,no research, no story .. just slap designs on cloth and do photo shoots…….. it’s exhausting too watch
We already have limited access to resources in the fashion industry in Africa, Yet we compete over the little. What are the chances we have measuring with those in the western world? We need to change our mindset from personal gains to being innovative and growth.
We all poses different skills that makes unique. Divided those skills can only take us as far but not very far. The earlier we realize our strength is in numbers, the better. A productive collaboration seems like the only solution. I don’t know why we are not exploiting it.
Stylcon is creating a platform where creatives in Africa can monetize their skill through contemporary fashion and the End users that benefits from it are still Africans. It’s a bumpy and exciting journey!!! Love to see it😌😌😌
