The reason there’s this strong push for black women to settle is because black men aren't progressing at the same or better rates. They’re less educated and less employed.

I think it’s going to get worse for black men (that aren’t high earners/high wealth already) and they know that the only way they can compete is if they get black women to lower their standards.
