@TheDarkDuchesss Sometimes mine feel like my hair is changing the way I pig changes to a feral board.
Hackles raised for a few minutes then boom back to normal, I dont get it.
Traumatic stress in my jaw (vagus nerve damage?) can trigger visions of bugs and I can hear even more than everything.
@LyrosHazard You are 100% correct because you are describing at least 3 generations of my family.
If someone with a PhD studied this they would win a prize. My therapist recommended a book called "how the body keeps the score" and it's not 100% related but could help phrase some aspects.
@SkinnyTuna Check on vagus nerve if you have time 2 spare
My therapist has told me to read "How the Body Keeps the Score" which is a book on Traumatic Stress and its effects
She also informed me that chronic or severe stress does not need to be from PTSD in order to have similar symptoms
@SkinnyTuna My friend, this is the exact question im working myself through. Thank you honestly for writing it succinctly.
It feels like i wear a mask on my Ego and when i walk towards the "correct" path, my fight or flight response reminds me that I cannot keep this mask on much longer.
@dementiapotus My knowledge of turbines only comes from aircraft maintenance school, so grain of salt. But gas/coal/nuclear turbines are spun by steam to generate electricity, and i havent seen freshwater concerned over them before.
A precedent of wastefull data centres would be terrible tho
@dementiapotus My bad, it will still draw from our grid. The additional plant makes me not concerned about electrical draw.
Closed loop would be a non-zero amount of water yes.
In good faith: I am anti-lawn. I am not convinced *yet* that the water usage on this project is concerning
@GeminiSentry@finelylesberg Wrong. I am poor as dirt and love making rich friends. Use all their rich people tricks like socializing and such.
The thing which makes rich folk different from us is their families investments earning more money than my salary.
@dementiapotus VERY misleading. The project specifically states that the energy demand will be satisfied by new power projects. You got something confused there.
Furthermore you have no idea how little water is consumed by steam powered electrical turbines.
@satanasnati@slimengrimen Anxiety from climate change is a treatable issue that professionals are familiar with.
You can decide to live with your fight or flight response permanently activated. Deactivating that *mental* response won't invalidate the reality of climate change.
PTSD is similar.
@puppylover64630 The point of a short life is the exact same as the point of a long life- there isn't one
It is hard to argue against because we are not nurse practitioners who have spent years studying psychotherapy
Climate change anxiety is a common issue. Suicidal ideation is a medical emerg
@SilentSnow89 Hahahaha "obscure units of measurement" okay Mr Gigawatt.
Literally yesterday you used the energy consumption of Edmonton as a unit.
It was to give the reader a frame of reference no?
I am not even pro data centre, you just keep making strange arguments!
Screw golf lawns tho.
@puppylover64630 Lol that's kinda real af. My point is if you experience suicidal ideation *because* of climate change then you *NEED* to change your own beliefs or you might die by your own hand.
To clarify, this is not an endorsement of climate change denial.
@ReinBeau_@slimengrimen Suicidal ideation is not acceptable. If you convince yourself life isnt worth living due to global warming, you **NEED** to see a doctor.
Depression is a real illness which can be healed. However it can ONLY be healed from within.
Cognitive behavioral therapy is a start.
