Held a productive meeting with Mr. Anton Alikhanov, Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, at Bharat Mandapam.
Discussed deepening India–Russia trade and industrial cooperation, diversifying the trade basket, and strengthening supply chain linkages. 🇮🇳🇷🇺
In the Dedicated Freight Corridors, Congress laid 0 kms of tracks from 2006-14.
But what about Modi govt? How tracks got laid and track-km-linked grew for DFCs from 2014?
So, I dug into DFFCIL reports and found this. Made this chart through AI.
Enjoy the power of your right vote.😎😎

Another success of Indian trade-industrial policies, like the auto sector and much else. The argument to cut all duties in steel because input costs of downstream industries are rising etc is right only in a very narrow short-term sense. The moment your industrial infra is wiped out by Chinese dumping, do you think you will get the same terms? That does not mean that every intervention or NTB was correct - obviously not - but it does mean that when you are in the hot chair, you have to deal in the grey. Black and white luxury is only for academics and arm-chair critics.
📢 A major boost to connectivity in Himachal Pradesh! 🛣️
2️⃣ major tunnels at Deod and Hanogi are being opened to traffic on 11 September 2026, marking a significant transformation in connectivity on the Pandoh–Takoli section of NH-03.
The 2.8-km Deod Tunnel (T4-01) and 650-metre Hanogi Tunnel (T4-02) will ease two of the most critical bottlenecks on this vital route to Kullu-Manali and onward towards Leh-Ladakh.
The tunnels will reduce the affected road stretch from 6 km to 3.5 km and provide relief from prolonged congestion at Jogni Mata Mandir, Deod and Hanogi, where tourist-season traffic can face delays of 1–2 hours or more.
As part of the ₹4,465.94-crore 4️⃣-laning project of the End of Pandoh Bypass–Takoli section of NH-21, the 18.908-km corridor is being executed under the Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM). With improved traffic flow, the journey from Mandi to Kullu is expected to come down from around 2 hours to approximately 60 minutes, under normal traffic conditions.
Under the visionary leadership of Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi Ji, we remain committed to building safer, faster and more reliable connectivity for the people of Himachal Pradesh.

This is NH-3, running from Attari to Leh via Manali. Until just a few years ago, large parts of this route were narrow two-lane roads. Today, multi-axle Volvo buses are cruising smoothly on a modern four-lane highway!

India has 20% of the world’s chip-design engineers, but only 11 of 372 domestic startups have VC funding; its share of global chip-startup investment remain very low at 0.2%.
Union Cabinet approves 8 multitracking projects worth ₹20,804 crore, covering 1,196 km across some of India’s most congested rail corridors.
The projects spanning Kharagpur–Bagdehi, Bilaspur–Pendra Road, Katni–Pendra Road, Secunderabad–Kazipet, Arakkonam–Renigunta, Whitefield–Bangarapet, Hosur–Omalur and Salem–Karur–Dindigulwill add third/fourth lines and doubling on the Mumbai–Kolkata and Mumbai–Chennai high-density networks.
These corridors carry nearly 40% of Indian Railways’ traffic and several sections are already over capacity. The expansion will decongest the network, improve freight movement and unlock capacity without waiting for entirely new corridors. via @IndianExpress
Imagine living a good life: wife, a comfortable home, and a thriving business. Then picture it all vanishing in a split second, simply because you made the fatal mistake of expecting basic civilized behavior from the irredeemable.
Meet Amit Gupta, a Kanpur trader who committed the ultimate sin of exercising common sense. Seeing a few fine products of our "demographic dividend" using a busy public street as their personal toilet, he foolishly suggested they stop. For his civic duty, he was beaten senseless and had his skull crushed with bricks, finally succumbing to two days of excruciating agony in a hospital bed.
Another productive, tax-paying life casually discarded by societal leeches, all over nothing.
The lesson? You cannot civilize the savages. They are entitled, mindless, primed for violence, and endlessly multiplying. They are beyond reform. The next time you see them littering, urinating, or creating chaos, look the other way and keep walking. In a lawless jungle, survival beats civic pride every single time.
The actual meat in Jefferies' report is here. As the third-largest economy in the making, we are ticking many boxes.
India is winning. We just need to win a lot more.
DFC was Conceived in 2005. DFCCIL formed in 2006. Cabinet approved both corridors in 2008. Alignment, land and contracts dragged on. By March 2014, zero km had been commissioned.
After 2014 the project was pushed harder: contracts, land and construction moved. First sections opened around 2019–20. Eastern DFC (Ludhiana–Sonnagar, 1,337 km) was commissioned in 2023–24. On 8 September 2026, PM Modi inaugurated the last Western DFC stretches to JNPT, completing the full 2,843 km network.
Two decades from plan to finish. Most of the on-ground delivery came in the last 12 years. RW people should promote these facts instead wasting time in Victimhood and rage bait
Deep tech is the new frontier of India’s energy transition! Inaugurated MC²+ Ignite at @IITGuwahati today, with IIT Guwahati as the anchor to develop solutions for real world energy and hydrocarbon challenges.
This is how Assam steps up as an innovation hub, beyond an investment destination.
I will share a detailed Substack on my thoughts on this initiative soon.
₹3.5 lakh cr in investments.
Assam is witnessing an industrial transformation like never before. Now, we must sustain this momentum and take it even further.
.@PepsiCoIndia's ₹750 cr investment in Nalbari will strengthen our potato value chain and benefit thousands of farmers.
A big step forward for Assam’s industrial journey.
