@TempletonPeckP1 I'd prefer a neonatology fellow, anesthesiologist, pediatric intensivist do the job. They are trained for this. "winging it" is exactly what happens when you get someone who has never done it before pretends that they're ready to independently practice outside their scope.

Midlevels are practicing with intubating neonates at UTSW. Alarming. Family medicine doctors have more training yet still do not negligently practice outside of their scope. This is just wrong.

All done with interviews for residency. During the trail, I learned about "orphan schools" that do not have a family medicine department or residency program. Rest assured, I will be an advocate for family medicine. It is my primary specialty of choice and I couldn't be happier.

The way Stanford handled the distribution of COVID vaccines is an example of administrative bloat rotting healthcare to its core. UCSF handled it way more impressively where a janitor received the vaccine before the chair of medicine.

After Stanford got called out that 1% of their residents got the vaccine while C-suite execs and their families got theirs first, 500 residents got scheduled for today through Monday. As a future resident that interviewed at your program, this is shocking.

Here's a thought. As a graduating medical student, I require 3 additional years of residency training to practice medicine. However, I can bypass all this by literally enrolling in and completing an online NP and practice in 500 hours or less of "observerships". What a world
