According to the current script, they'll conduct the SIR exercise and delete votes of the common people. The Supreme Court will just say, 'Vote next time, no problem.' It's quite possible that Returning Officers will reject opposition candidates' nominations on some vague or unclear grounds. The courts will still stay silent or tell them to exhaust all remedies first, by which time the elections will be long over and a new government already installed. And even if they somehow lose despite all this, don't worry... there are Anti-Defection laws. They'll simply do horse trading. 😃
