Couldn’t afford a full length main stand when the ground was built and put an old short stand from Paradise Ground to the South Side. Hence the semi curva. From old photos the East End pre ‘66 World Cup was a thing of beauty.

@BoroThis We went to the first game at Goodison remember the big crush outside in the paddock at full time. A car then went into the back of us at lights and had to go back to Teesside on the back of flatbed lorry, got home 4am with school the next day.
