Our #ChildHealth Clinic celebrated #ChildrensDay at Ahilya Vidyamandir, Kalachowki with 110 pre-primary school children and teachers. Through games and interactive activity sessions, the children were told about healthy eating habits and given fruits and gifts.
Our scientist Dr Kiran Munne and Sister Rachna Dalvi were invited to judge "Nutritious Recipes Competition" held at Shindewadi MPS, Dadar. Participating mothers presented their homemade recipes and explained their benefits using charts.
Our team at MRHRU Vani, in collaboration with public health department Maharashtra, conducted training for ASHAs on #snakebite and #sicklecell disease. More than 60 ASHAs were trained during this session.

@DrRahulGajbhiye outlined the purpose and role of establishing MRHRU, Vani and how the institute envisions research priorities in the area based on local disease burden. MRHRU, Vani will be actively engaged in field surveys and community studies with PHCs, SCs and RH.
Dr Kiran Katoch shared her inspiring story of tackling leprosy and urged that MRHRU & health system must work unitedly to identify local health issues and solve them systematically through research & service provision and MRHRU should become a hub of health building activities.
In an informal session, Dr VM Katoch discussed the burden of disease in the region with MOs and suggested ways to improve healthcare delivery. Dr Katoch called MRHRU a joint collaborative venture with equal participation from ICMR, medical colleges and local state health system.
