#SUDVoices#LivedExperience#Recovery#SubstanceUseDisorder
Too many decisions about substance use get made without the people living it.
This November, SUD Voices for Change is bringing three town halls to California. Come say what is working, what is not, and what needs to change.
If you use substances, are in recovery, care for someone who is, or your community has been touched by any of it, this is your room.
Thursday, Nov 12 · Indio
Friday, Nov 13 · San Francisco

Your voice belongs in the room where decisions get made. 💜
SUD Voices for Change is recruiting for our Consumer Advisory Group: people in recovery, people who currently use substances, families, peer support workers, harm reduction advocates, and communities affected by SUD.
Recovery doesn't happen in isolation. It grows when people can reach wellness resources, mental health care, and support from others who've been there.
With the right access, people build vibrant lives worth protecting, one day at a time.
When people in recovery share their stories with employers, faith communities, policymakers, and neighbors, they help build recovery-ready communities for everyone.

California's SUD treatment workforce carries a lot. On October 28, CAADPE and SUD Voices for Change are giving them a day built for their growth.

Counselor credentialing and the lived path to certification Culturally responsive care and treatment in a client's primary language MAT access from the clinic to the community Moral distress and moral injury in a sustainable workforce .
SUD Voices for Change is collecting those stories so they reach the people who need to hear them, including policymakers, providers, and anyone who is still deciding whether recovery is possible for them.
Every recovery story has the power to change minds and save lives. When people share their experiences, they help reduce stigma and show what real recovery looks like.

Too often the conversation about substance use disorder happens without the people who have lived it. Their stories get flattened into statistics or replaced by stereotypes that keep others from asking for help.
You already know what the system cant get wrong. You lived it.
The Consumer Advisory Group is a real seat at the table, not a story someone asks you to tell once and then forgets.
No cost. No commitment to start. Just apply: https://t.co/FyRVPAZUqJ

September is National Recovery Month, and it's the right moment to re-introduce ourselves.
SUD Voices for Change is a new initiative bringing together people with lived experience to shape how California talks about and responds to substance use disorders.
We're building it now, and we want you in the room.
Recovery Month is about celebrating what's possible. It's also about making sure the people who know recovery best have a say in the policies and conversations that affect them.
