I first met Nathan in October 2016 on my first day @WVT & I still remember his welcoming smile and help in navigating my way around the hospital. So it was an absolute pleasure to present him with a Going the Extra Mile (GEM) award this morning. Truly one of our #AmazingWVTstaff

I met 2 fantastic ED nurses today (Amy & Rob) who were nominated for a Going the Extra Mile (GEM) award by a patient who has described them as “utterly brilliant - caring, cheerful, and clearly extremely good at what they both do” and I agree! #AmazingWVTstaff @WVT

It was great to visit Arrow Ward today and meet Sophie & Jessica who were nominated for a Going the Extra Mile (GEM) Award by the daughter of one of their patients in recognition of their care for her mum - both described as a credit to their team & the NHS! #AmazingWVTstaff @WVT

Had the pleasure of visiting Eign Suite this morning to meet Anne who was nominated by Heather following some fantastic feedback by an ophthalmology patient at Ross. Anne exemplifies our CARE values and is truly kind and compassionate! #AmazingWVTstaff @WVT

It was an absolute pleasure today to meet Jate, Laura and Sam and present them with their Going the Extra Mile (GEM) award. They have successfully relocated their phototherapy service to Gaol Street and in the process have really transformed their service! #AmazingWVTstaff @WVT

It was really nice to visit the Belmont site on Friday and present Tiffany with her award, an #AmazingWVTstaff School Nurse Assistant @WVT who has Gone the Extra Mile and done a superb job organising the national child measurement programme across schools in Herefordshire.

It was a pleasure to meet another #AmazingWVTstaff member this week when I visited Belmont to present Nicky with her Going the Extra Mile (GEM) award. This was in recognition of her compassion, professionalism and advocacy in support of the young people who use our services @WVT

I met Angie Box today at the ‘Forget Me Not’ cafe in Bromyard Community Hospital @WVT where I had the opportunity to present her with an Employee of the Month award. The award recognised how her drive and determination has made such a difference - #AmazingWVTStaff

Just done Day1 of my couch (potato) to 5k and I really do feel good! Used the free app - it really dies make it easier!

Volunteers can really make a difference and one such person is Pamela, pictured below receiving her Going the Extra Mile (GEM) award on Lugg Ward. Volunteers are an essential part of our #AmazingWVTStaff @WVT and bring with them a wealth of experience to any team they work with.
