France, Spain, Poland & now Germany have all openly stated the UK would be welcomed back into the EU fold.
What a difference a week - & a more positive government position - makes.

You’ve called me racist this evening- albeit in a contorted way- but in doing so, you’ve lowered the tone of the debate with divisive and inflammatory language.
And absurdly, you’re suggesting that I’m being racist against myself.
It’s because of irresponsible language like yours that we in Reform need security.
The left can keep smearing us as racist for challenging the cosy consensus on mass migration but we will not be bullied into silence.
No floods in my part of Valencian Community thankfully but never seen rain like it (at least another 24 hours forecast) or seen such lighting or heard such loud thunder. It was like the storm just parked overhead last night & didn't budge. Truly scary.
Net zero anyone?
So, let me get this straight .... Braverman is, she claims, not English. She would also appear to be non-white.
So why on earth is she so popular with the far-right, knuckle-dragging, "patriots" that want an all white England?
Truly shocking culture war on #BBCQT
Former Conservative now Reform UK's Suella Braverman who was born in London says,
"I'm not an English person"
Then suggests you can only be English if you have a lineage or ancestry which dates back a few generations.
A black man in the audience says he considers himself English because he was born here, and that she is enforcing a racist view that says being born here does not make you English.
Oli Dugmore, "The political function of what she was saying earlier is that you can only be English if you are white.. That is a racist point of view"
Fiona Bruce then repeatedly asks Suella Braverman to address Oli Dugmore's allegations, she repeatedly refuses to adding, "I do not call myself English, I am British Asian"
At the end, Freudian slip, "I don't consider myself to be white, er er er English. I'm Asian of Asian heritage. I don't see why that's controversial"
My view: Braverman is entitled to describe her own identity as British rather than English.
But turning that into a definition of who can be English is racial exclusion dressed up as patriotism.
A Black or Asian person born and raised here, speaking with the local accent, sharing the life and culture of this country, is no less English than anyone else.
England has never been a racial category. It is a country, a culture and a shared civic identity, and trying to make whiteness the entry requirement is both historically illiterate and deeply divisive.
Braverman has previously argued that people without generational ties to England should not claim to be English.
Instead of all the bluster & empty rhetoric, will Farage finally be cornered into defending his precious Brexit, or trying to?

Citizens, whether EU in UK or UK in EU, must never again be used as bargaining chips.
Want to rejoin EU? Time to start acting like Europeans.

So, 73% of Brits want a closer EU relationship but without the benefits, or costs, of membership, even in the SM or CU.
Isn't that exactly what we've been trying to achieve for the last decade?
Sounds awfully like cherry-picking to me. Ain't gonna happen.
Our latest tracker data shows that 59% of Britons support rejoining the EU, and 73% support a closer relationship
Only 30% support the status quo, and just 16% want to loosen ties further
🇬🇧🇪🇺 Should the UK Rejoin the EU? ❓
A recent poll shows a majority of Britons now support rejoining the European Union. 📊
🔹 59% would vote to rejoin the EU
🔹 32% would vote to stay out
➡️ A +27% net support for EU membership
🏛️ By party:
🔹 Greens (Greens/EFA), Labour (S&D), and Lib Dem (Renew) voters show strong support for rejoining
🔹 Conservatives (ECR) and Reform voters remain strongly opposed
⚠️ Important context:
While support for rejoining is clear, polls also show Britons are against rejoining if it means giving up past opt-outs. At the same time, polls show that EU citizens oppose the UK rejoining if those opt-outs are kept, making the path back far more complex.
🤔 Should the UK rejoin the EU? 👇 And should they keep their previous Opt Outs?

Ignore the sceptics and the haters. Today is the day the red lines have been scrapped and new future in Europe is possible for our nation. Don’t sit this one out and let those people take away our hope by being silent - share this and join @labour4europe today to be part of building a new Europe with us and with Labour.
Is it just me or does there seem to have been a sea change re Brexit, & now some momentum?
Time to ramp up the campaigning!

We're constantly hearing that EU countries wouldn't want the UK back in the EU after all the trouble we've caused.
That's simply not true.

"The exact same freedoms" as everyone else.
You can't pick & choose who gets human rights or fair treatment. What you expect for yourself should be available to all, even if you don't agree with their politics, life choices or colour, religion, race, sexual identity, etc
I know they mean well, but I’m getting fed up of non-trans allies thinking that some sort of compromise exists with terfs - the exterminist anti-trans people movement.
It doesn’t. There is no place for tea and biscuits.
Trans people deserve the exact same freedoms as c!s people.
