6:00am update - the fire is now out, and crews remain on the scene to hot spot the area. Crews from Norfolk are departing, and we thank them for their support. Roads around the station are reopening now, but local residents are being asked to avoid the area if possible.

Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service are currently attending to a fire in the roof of a commercial building within Oulton Broad North Railway Station. We are joined by colleagues from Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service, Suffolk Police and the Ambulance Service.

3 men in a Citroën van in Martlesham are falsely claiming to be from Suffolk Fire & Rescue and offering “free solar panel checks.”
All SFRS staff carry official ID with a verification number.
If unsure, don’t let them in — report to police via 101.

Tonight our Needham Market Fire Station crew said a sad farewell to Firefighter Harry Smith. Harry has been with the Service for 28 years both as a wholetime firefighter from 1997 - 2016 and On Call firefighter at Needham from 2011 to tonight. We wish him well for the future

Haverhill Santa Sleigh run - CORRECTION

This was organised by the Haverhill Santa Group - comprised of local residents and supported by nearby businesses, NOT the Round Table as previously posted.
