The thing about these data centers is, they bring no jobs. No tax revenue and are pretty much exclusively using the place’s ground water. The local politicians are literally getting millions in buyouts for sliding these things across the table.
> $600-$900 console
> Has barely any exclusive games through the entire generation because of their focus on live service which failed
> Kills off future physical media
> Decides to layoff multiple talented studios under them because of their own failures
Play Has Limits
"Parents should be able to control their kid's online experiences!"
THEY ALREADY CAN!! THEY ALREADY FREAKING CAN!! THEY CAN DO THIS RIGHT THE FRICK NOW!!
WE DON'T NEED TO VIOLATE OUR 1ST AND 4TH TO ACHIEVE CHILD SAFETY!! PARENTS JUST NEED TO DO THEIR JOBBBBBB!!!!!
Let's say the PS6 is a digital only console (pretty much guaranteed now) and 20yrs after it's release you wanna get a game for the PS6 but they've shut down the store just like they did for the PS3/Vita. What are you going to do?
You can't go to a gamestop, a pawn shop, a flea market, ebay or whatever. This is planned obsolescence in its' final form. PlayStation now has 100% control over how you buy and play a game.
Your boy wanna sell you a game for cheap? Can't do that, gotta buy full price on PSN. Wanna give your boy a game to check out? too bad, he's gotta buy it for $70 on PSN.
This is terrible for videogame preservation and consumer rights
I like that Bob is treated as a pretty boy ikemen even if he's The Designated Fat Character
Even the "fat guy likes food" thing is translated to him running food banks he's so cool
I DO NOT think people fully understand how much 1 billion is. If your salary was $100k with no tax, it would take you 10 years to become a millionaire, but 10,000 years to reach a billion. It is unethical for just one person to be hoarding this much wealth while others CANNOT eat
