@MostlyIrishMike @MurphR1933 @jessmargera So you’re posting a chart you made in AI with no sourcing of the data? Sounds totally legit

[SuitAndStamina @SuitAndStamina]

@DustinT_NBA Almost every post related this play comes across that people think this is the only reason the Broncos lost the game. Doesn’t really make sense to harp on 1 call. The call was made, reviewed and stood as called. It happens.

[SuitAndStamina @SuitAndStamina]

@minakimes The 49ers are also down 6 defensive lineman, which would explain much of their run stopping struggles. This should improve as they get players back.

[SuitAndStamina @SuitAndStamina]

@Hamstertush_ @sup3r_mario11 Damn, bro. You really can’t let this is go. So the NFL rule book website is wrong? 🤣

[SuitAndStamina @SuitAndStamina]

@DavidBearman I agree. Highly doubt McBride was an innocent bystander who was simply wishing the ref and his family well.

[SuitAndStamina @SuitAndStamina]

@Generally_aware @sup3r_mario11 You can disagree all you’d like. The refs saw it based on how the rules layed out. In almost every game, teams have calls that go against them or aren’t called. 🤷‍♂️ Instead of focusing on one play, look at the rest of the game and the plays that the team didn’t convert on.

[SuitAndStamina @SuitAndStamina]

@TFG_Football I guess you can call it even with that DPI that wasn’t called in the 3rd quarter on the pass to Brandin Cooks

[SuitAndStamina @SuitAndStamina]

@Hamstertush_ @sup3r_mario11 That is directly from the NFL rule book. So yes, it was copied and pasted. The call was that above the wrist (forearm) did not hit the ground until after the ball was already moving and he was losing possession. Replay wasnt definitive enough to reverse the call on the field.

[SuitAndStamina @SuitAndStamina]

May have been. There were also 2 clear defensive pass interference calls by the Broncos that were missed in real time earlier in game 🤷‍♂️

I’m sure there were holding calls against both teams, probably an illegal hands-to-the-face penalty that was missed. Maybe a false start or two. You win some, you lose some.

[SuitAndStamina @SuitAndStamina]

@minakimes Agreed, I’d like to see a full strength 49ers offense against a full strength Broncos defense. I think Purdy played well, not his best - I’m sure he’d be the first say he missed throws and some reads. Both defenses played well whole dealing with the injuries they had.

[SuitAndStamina @SuitAndStamina]

@sup3r_mario11 Could it have gone either way? Sure. The fact that the ruled it a fumble on the field mean that it had to be absolutely clear that he was down to overturn it. That wasn’t the case. Just like if he had been ruled down, they wouldn’t have overturned it to a fumble. Tough break.

Article 1. Dead Ball Declared
An official shall declare the ball dead and the down ended:
when a runner is contacted by an opponent and touches the ground with any part of his body other than his hands or feet. The ball is dead the instant the runner touches the ground. A runner touching the ground with his hands or feet while in the grasp of an opponent may continue to advance; or
Note: If, after contact by an opponent, any part of a runner’s leg above the ankle or any part of his arm above the wrist touches the ground, the runner is down.

Ball was moving before the “above the wrist” portion hit the ground.

I love when ppl challenge another’s thoughts when they have a quality take…

I love when two ppl debate on a topic they both know…

I HATE when people simply use attacks or childish words to knock another down bc they can’t be an adult & have a conversation… even if that means agreeing to disagree!
