@danieloleary465 the posterior pituitary gland releases the adh. But the osmoreceptors which detect the lowered water potential are receptors not in the same region as the pituitary gland because that area only releases the adh. I think the receptors are in the walls of thr carotid arteries

Anyone who did biology paper 2 yesterday, I put “posterior pituitary gland” for where osmoreceptors were found which I know is wrong. But I defined it’s purpose correctly so would I get error carried toward marks??? #alevels2023 #alevelbiology #alevels
