चीन, रूस, ईरान और पाकिस्तान ने संयुक्त बयान जारी कर अफ़ग़ानिस्तान में फिर से सैनिक ठिकाना बनाने का कड़ा विरोध किया है. अमेरिका वहाँ फिर से सैनिक अड्डा बनाना चाहता है और इस संबंध में अमेरिकी राष्ट्रपति ट्रम्प ने अफ़ग़ानिस्तान को धमकी भी दी है.

चीन, रूस, ईरान और पाकिस्तान ने अफ़ग़ानिस्तान में सत्तारूढ़ तालिबान शासन से देश से आतंकी गिरोहों को ख़त्म करने का अनुरोध भी किया है. चारों देशों की यह बैठक संयुक्त राष्ट्र बैठक के अवसर पर न्यूयॉर्क में हुई है.
