On 15 June 2025, around 5:45 PM, a group of 10 Indian women boating at Willen Lake, in Milton Keynes, were verbally and physically attacked by three boys (aged 10–12). The boys threw stones, shouted Islamic slogans, threatened, used religiously charged slurs, and one even hurled a large log at the group. The women were cornered, shaken, and one suffered a panic attack.

This appears to be a racially and religiously motivated hate incident targeting Hindus. The boys’ identities are unknown, but the nature of the threats and their young age raise serious concerns about possible radicalisation or grooming.

A video of the incident has been recorded and local authorities are being urged to take immediate action.

Government of India notifies implementation of Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA).

Core objective of CAA is not to revoke
or alter the citizenship status of existing Indian population but to provide a legal pathway for citizenship to Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi and Christian minorities from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, and Pakistan due to extreme, historical and ongoing religious persecution in Afghanistan, Bangladesh and Pakistan.

Any other faith, sex, creed or gender can apply Indian citizenship through the normal immigration route which remains open for all.

This is a reflection of India's commitment to religious freedom and equality, integral to its secular fabric.
